About me
Thomas Ortner is a Research Scientist at IBM Research Europe, Switzerland, in the group of Emerging Computing and Circuits. He holds a PhD and a MSc in Computer Science, a MSc degree in Technical Physics and a MSc degree in Software Engineering and Management from Graz University of Technology, Austria. He is a contributor of the control flow operators in PyTorch and his current research focuses on the development of novel stateful models for sequence processing with capabilities beyond existing transformer architectures, and on efficient LLM inference engines, such as vLLM.
